Samsung launches new Galaxy Alpha phone
Commenting on the launch of the new Galaxy Alpha, Rob Kerr, mobiles expert at Uswitch.com, says: “There is now an iPhone 6 killer on the scene, even before Apple’s looming launch.
“The new Samsung Galaxy Alpha is clearly going head to head, spec for spec, toe for toe, with the upcoming iPhone 6.
“Samsung has gone with an ultra thin design that gives Apple a run for its money, plus a screen size that is expected to match the iPhone 6.
“Time will tell if the metal frame that has the look of an iPhone, and the thinness of the 5S, is enough to steal away attention from the next gen Apple handset.
“If mimicry is the best form of flattery, then Apple should be well and truly flattered by the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it now has to raise its game somewhat.
“Bring on September’s line up of phones I say, and let’s see who comes out as alpha dog.”
