Commenting on Three’s new “Go Binge” plans, offering customers unlimited streaming on select services, Ernest Doku, telecoms expert at uSwitch.com, says: “With its new streaming-friendly plan, Three has unveiled yet another string to their bow as the battle to be crowned network of choice for data-heavy mobile heats up.
“In addition to existing competitive perks, such as its Feel At Home roaming tariff which lets customers on advanced tariffs roam in multiple destinations at no extra cost, Three customers will now be able to upgrade to a “Go Binge” plan, giving access to unlimited streaming on select services.
“The network has suggested that these will be slightly more expensive, setting existing customers back around £3 extra a month on top of their current bill.
“However, for that cost, customers are able to access unlimited streaming throughout all of Three’s Feel At Home destinations, and they can also choose to tether their mobile to view services on TVs or laptops.
“It’s fantastic to see Three partnering with streaming giants like Netflix and music streaming site Deezer, but customers already subscribed to alternative platforms may feel somewhat hard done by.
“A bold and customer-pleasing extension to “Go Binge” would be Three extending their streaming offer to a wider array of digital services such as Amazon Prime, Spotify, iPlayer and 4oD.”
Launched in September 2000, uSwitch is an online and telephone price comparison and switching service, helping consumers get a better deal on gas, electricity, broadband, TV services, mobiles and personal finance products including mortgages, credit cards, car and home insurance. Last year we saved UK consumers over £278 million on their energy bills alone.
Customers can sign up to an account that automatically monitors the energy market and notifies them when they can move to a cheaper tariff, while broadband customers can conduct a speed test to find out how fast their broadband is and identify the best deal for their postcode.
The multi award-winning 'Switching Made Simple' app allows customers to compare energy, broadband, credit card, mobile and SIM-only deals – and uSwitch also has a UK contact centre manned by energy and broadband experts. Customers can post their latest energy bills to FREEPOST USWITCH to receive a free call back and be guided through the comparison process, or they can email firstname.lastname@example.org with their postcode and usage details.
uSwitch is owned by ZPG, which operates some of the UK’s most trusted digital brands that help empower smarter property and household decisions including Zoopla, Money, PrimeLocation and SmartNewHomes.
