Uswitch - Incentive Terms and Conditions (“Incentive Terms”)

  1. The promoter and provider of this Incentive is RVU Services Limited of The Cooperage, 5 Copper Row, London, SE1 2LH (“Uswitch”).
  2. The Incentive is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over who switched their energy supplier to the Cashback Tariffs (as defined in the table above) via the Uswitch website to the specified Supplier (as defined in the table above) (the “Qualifying Product”) within the Cashback Timeframe (as defined in the table above). The Incentive excludes employees of RVU Services Limited and/or Uswitch Limited, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Incentive. Residents of the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland are not eligible. Only one Incentive per household, email address or direct debit. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with other Incentives.
  3. The cashback Incentive in the specified Cashback Amount (as defined in the table above)(the “Incentive”) is open to users of Uswitch’s website or app (“Users”). Uswitch will provide the Incentive to Users who meet all of the following criteria: (a) select a Qualifying Product tariff that specified cashback; (b) switch to that Qualifying Product via Uswitch’s website or app within the Cashback Timeframe (as specified in the Definitions table above); (c) download the latest version of the Uswitch app via an app store, Uswitch website or Uswitch email; (d) sign up to a Uswitch account or log in to their existing Uswitch account; (e) provide bank details to receive the Incentive (only applicable for Users who have not provided bank details on the Uswitch website during the switch); and (f) when the Incentive is confirmed ready to claim, click the button to claim the cashback Incentive via the latest version of the Uswitch app. Failure to download the Uswitch app and confirm or provide bank details within 90 days of the switch will result in forfeiture of the cashback offer. Uswitch will send eligible Users the Incentive by bank transfer within 120 days of the completion of the User’s switch to the Qualifying Product via Uswitch’s website or app, or (if section (e) is applicable) within 45 days of the User providing their bank details on the Uswitch app. 
  4. The eligible User will receive the Incentive into the bank account that they selected on the Uswitch website during the switch to the Qualifying Product.
  5. Subject to the below clause 6, for the purposes of this Incentive, a “switch”, “switches” or “switched” means the formation of a contract between the Use and a supplier of gas or electricity energy products purchased via Uswitch’s website.  
  6. If a User’s switch does not complete, the User will not be eligible to receive the Incentive. A switch shall be deemed completed when: (a) the User’s energy supply has been switched from its existing energy supplier to the new energy supplier or the User’s energy supply has been switched to a different tariff with the User’s existing supplier; (b) Uswitch has received confirmation from the supplier that the User’s switch has been completed; and (c) the User’s 14 day statutory “cooling off” period has expired. For the avoidance of doubt, if the User switches their energy supplier and the switch is subsequently cancelled by the User, or by the supplier, the User will not be eligible to receive the Incentive. Uswitch estimates that a switch normally takes 14 days to complete.
  7. Uswitch will not be liable to the User for any uncompleted switches caused by any technical failures of its website or otherwise, and whether any such failure is within the control of Uswitch or not.
  8. Uswitch reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any User it finds to be tampering or to have tampered with the operation of the promotion or Uswitch’s website, or to be acting in violation of the Incentive Terms or the Uswitch website terms of use, available at https://www.uswitch.com/about-us/terms-of-use/ (“Uswitch Website Terms of Use”).
  9. The Incentive is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no alternative is offered. Uswitch will not be liable to the User for any late Incentive payment or redemption caused by third parties including but not limited to payment providers, and whether any such lateness or failure is within the control of Uswitch or not. Uswitch reserves the right to replace the voucher with an alternative incentive of equal or higher value at its sole discretion.
  10. The decision of Uswitch regarding any aspect of the Incentive is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  11. Users are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Incentive Terms and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, upon entry. Uswitch reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the Incentive to User in breach of these Incentive Terms or the Uswitch Website Terms of Use.
  12. In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of the Incentive, Uswitch reserves the right to end or suspend the Incentive; and amend these Incentive Terms.
  13. The Users’ data will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of the Incentive in line with Uswitch’s privacy policy (https://www.uswitch.com/about-us/privacy-policy/). By entering the Incentive, the User agrees to receive correspondence from Uswitch in relation to the Incentive only.
  14. The Incentive will be governed by English law and entrants to the incentive submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
