“Switching electricity provider saves up to £412, while dual fuel users can save up to £491 – so if you’ve never switched, or haven’t done so for a while, now is the time to join the millions who already have.
“Households are engaging with the energy market as never before as we move into 2018. This record number of switches shows that the market is on the verge of a tipping point. Now is the time for the energy industry and government to work together to build on this success and help more consumers engage, as well as supporting vulnerable customers. But a widespread price cap risks undoing the progress made so far and reducing the potential savings on offer. A competitive market, rather than regulation, is the best way to keep prices low.”
