For 25 years, we’ve been helping you save on your electricity bills. In November 2025, we gave our customers 25 hours of free electricity, up to a maximum of £25. Sign-ups for this offer closed on 31 October.

What was the 25 hours free electricity offer?
For 25 years, we’ve been helping customers save on their electricity bills. We helped customers to get ahead of higher energy costs in winter with 25 hours of free electricity across 5 weekends in November, 2025.
This exclusive offer was part of our Power Hours scheme, where you can earn with your smart meter year-round.
To get this offer, all you had to do is connect your smart meter and sign up to Power Hours with the Uswitch app by 31 October, 2025.
It's just one of the ways we're looking to put more cash back into your pocket.
How did you calculate earnings?
We use the kWh usage data from your smart meter to calculate how much you’ve used in your chosen time slot. Then pair that with the unit rates from your electricity plan to calculate your earnings.
Not all smart meters update plan names when your switch supplier or change energy plans. Make sure the right plan details are shown on the app to get accurate earnings.
We’ll add any calculated earnings to your total, ready to withdraw from the Uswitch app in December.
When will I be able to withdraw my earnings from this offer?
Earnings from each week will be calculated in the days following your weekend time slot. Those earnings will move into pending state in the Earn tab in the Uswitch app, and will be made available to withdraw in December.
Get ahead of higher energy costs this winter
Sign ups for this offer closed on 31 October, but those who signed up got to take advantage of another great way to save on energy costs just as the energy price cap increases.

Put cash back in your pocket
For each weekend in November customers selected a time slot for either Saturday or Sunday, from 7am-12pm or 12pm-5pm.
After each slot, we calculated their smart meter usage and added it to their earnings. Ready to withdraw directly to your bank in early December.
Take part with any energy provider
As long as you had your electricity smart meter connected to the Uswitch app by 31 October, the 25 hours of free electricity was available to you no matter who your energy provider was.
If you’re part of a demand flexibility scheme (DFS) with your energy provider, you'll still be able to participate in this offer as well.
