The Sony Ericsson W715 Walkman handset is now available on Vodafone for free on pay monthly plans.
Sony Ericsson’s handset is principally a music phone and boasts superior sound quality as well as access to the Vodafone Music download service.
Additionally, the W715 is equipped with a host of music-focussed functions such as TrackID, SensMe and shake control.
Elsewhere, there is a 3.2 megapixel camera with photo editing software, an FM radio and fast downloads and web browsing thanks to the W715’s compatibility with HSDPA.
Finally, owners will also find Vodafone’s Find & Go GPS service onboard as well as photo geo-tagging.
The launch of the new Walkman phone on Vodafone comes as the network is believed to be in talks with a view to replacing Google as the default search provider on its handsets.
Business news source Bloomberg claims that Yahoo is among those in contention to replace Google when Vodafone’s contract with the firm expires later this year.
