Sony Ericsson unveils S312 phone

Sony Ericsson has released details of its S312 handset, which offers a two megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity.

Part of the company’s Snapshot range, the handset is equipped with a number of advanced imaging functions, including 2.5 digital zoom, dedicated video camera key, a picture blogging application and illuminated camera shortcuts.

The phone is also home to a two-inch screen, e-mail, a media player, which supports all major file storage formats, TrackID, Bluetooth connectivity and a range of messaging options including SMS and MMS.

15MB of internal memory has been provided for storage, with scope to boost this further by adding a microSD card.

Initially, the Sony Ericsson S312 will be available in two colours, namely Dawn Blue and Honey Silver, with price points and release dates for the mobile phone yet to be confirmed.

Sony Ericsson is planning to release a series of cameraphones this year, including the 12 megapixel Sony Ericsson Idou.
