The Sony Xperia Go has landed in the UK on O2, as new additions to the Xperia range just keep on coming.
Would-be Xperia Go owners can pick up the Android 2.3-toting smartie free from £18.50 per month over a two-year contract. That includes allowances of 200 anytime, any-network minutes, unlimited texts and 100Mb of data per month. Oh, and you get 250 O2 to O2 minutes too.
Alternatively, if you don’t mind paying an upfront fee of £79.99, you can snare the Go and the same monthly allowances as above for £13.50 per month.
Marrying a hard-wearing dust and water-resistant shell with a high-end 3.5-inch, Reality Display screen, the Go teams the robust build quality of a tough phone with the functionality and feature set of mid-range Android smartie.
It’s also home to display technology that means the handset still responds to finger inputs in wet conditions for when you’re deep sea diving or whatever you adventurous types get up to, as well as a five megapixel fast-capture camera with autofocus and LED flash.
Completing the package is a Dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor, a choice of thousands of Android apps, 8GB of internal memory and microSD card support to allow you to boost storage by up to 32GB.
An update to the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android is expected for the Go in the next few months.
