BlackBerry Z10 on sale today

BlackBerry’s first-ever BlackBerry 10 smartphone is now available to buy in the UK, on a day with huge ramifications for the future of the ailing phone-maker.

The all-touchscreen BlackBerry Z10, which ditches the brand’s trademark physical keyboard, will be available today from 4G carrier EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three, as well as resellers Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U.

Would-be Z10 owners on EE can pick up the phone on a range of plans, perhaps the pick of which is priced £41 per month over 24 months, plus a one-off charge of £49.99.

This includes 1GB of super fast mobile usage per month, plus unlimited calls and texts.

Vodafone, meanwhile, is offering the latest challenger from the company formerly known as Research In Motion (RIM) for £29 on a £42 a month deal with unlimited calls, texts and ‘loads of internet’ every month – or 2GB to be more specific.

And if you fancy it on O2, the Z10 is priced £36 a month on a 24 month contract. At the time of writing Three had yet to confirm its asking price and is still listing the device as 'coming soon'.

The white version of the Z10 is exclusive to Phones 4U for a limited period.
