The Xperia Z, Sony’s top-end challenger for 2013, is now available from a range of UK carriers and retailers, as the phone-maker pulls out all the stops to make it the handset that wins back Sony its place at the smartphone top table.
Billed as the best Sony handset in years and heavily advertised in the mainstream media and tech press, the Xperia Z is available now a range of contracts with most major UK carriers.
Perhaps the pick of the Vodafone contracts is the Red Data price plan at £42 per month. As well as a free handset, this entitles takers to unlimited calls, unlimited texts, and 2GB of data per month.
Pitched somewhere between a phablet and tough phone, the Xperia Z is water-resistant, features a super robust shell made from the same glass fibre polyamide material used for car parts and packs a whopping a five-inch Full HD 1080p Reality Display.
A 13-megapixel fast-capture camera, with a next-generation Sony EXMOR RS sensor is also on board the Android Jelly Bean-powered kit, as is a quad-core Snapdragon processor and Sony’s suite of entertainment services.
