There was standing room only at the much-anticipated launch of the Huawei P10 range. And with some unexpected colour options, impressive camera features and solid construction, it appears to have more than lived up to the hype.
With a wide choice of colours, including green, blue, rose gold, silver and black, the curved glass and metal handsets certainly look very appealing.
And Huawei is certainly keeping up with the latest smartphone trends by giving the device a large screen with slim bezels. The P10 has a 5.1-inch high-resolution screen, while the P10 Plus comes with a larger, 5.5-inch hi-res display.
As with its previous flagship phones though, the standout feature of the P10 range is undoubtedly the camera.
The rear camera has a 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel dual lens with hybrid zoom for taking crystal clear shots and has several modes, including monochrome, professional mode, low light and macro.
This makes it the perfect phone for aspiring photographers, instagrammers and serial over-sharers, who like to take endless, arty snaps of their kids.
The P10 also comes with the world’s first Leica selfie camera. The front-facing eight-megapizel camera enables users to snap the perfect selfies, even in low light.
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus comes with a dual Wi-Fi antenna to prevent users losing signal.
Huawei also claims that the phone will survive nearly two days of normal usage on a single charge with its sizeable 3,200mAh battery and it comes with super-fast charging too.
Both the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will be available on contract with EE. Pricing and availability will be announced soon.
