Sony is working on a new top–end Xperia XZ3 smartphone that will be faster and offer a better camera than the Xperia XZ2.
The latter was only launched at Mobile World Congress in February this year. But now a new leak from Japan points towards an updated device that sh)ould be a worthy alternative to the best phones from Apple and Samsung.
The main tweak appears to be with the camera. The new Xperia XZ3 is said to come with a dual lens shooter. This will have the same 19-megapixel sensor as the single lens XZ2, but with a wider aperture and a second lens packing 12 megapixels.
The front–facing camera will come with 13 megapixels, matching the Xperia XZ Premium.
Under the bonnet, Sony is set to push the device’s RAM to 6GB and include a larger battery pack.
The display will be the same 5.7–inch effort found on the Xperia XZ2.
A release date is expected around the annual IFA event, which starts in Berlin on 31st August.
