A series of webisodes and comparative demos have been created to emphasise the various benefits of the new BT Infinity service, it has been announced.

Digital marketing and technology agency LBi has been tasked with demonstrating the advantages of BT's super-fast broadband packages to consumers.

It has created 'Gossip Girl' and 'The Grad' webisodes, which use animations and voiceovers to explain how BT Infinity can improve work and family life.

A further six demos are also being used to illustrate the practical benefits of the product, which BT says offers "the whole of the internet in an instant".

Andrew Pinkess, Client Partner for BT at LBi, said the combination of experiential marketing, video content and social media is "absolutely right" for what is an exciting new service.

BT's Senior Marketing Manager Ajay Joshi commented: "We wanted to dramatise the benefits of BT Infinity and create a platform where people could get involved with our experiential activity and share the benefits."

Broadband speeds of up to 40Mb are available to BT Infinity subscribers in the UK.

Nice idea. But seems a bit catch-22. If you need a super-fast connection to really enjoy streaming media, what's the point of promoting it to people watching those vids online?
