Subscribers to BT's broadband TV packages will be able to enjoy Sky Sports 1 and 2 thanks to a new deal.

The company and rival bundle provider Sky have signed a contract for the wholesale supply of the two channels to the BT Vision service.

According to BT, this means that its customers will be able to sign up for the subscription channels from early July and also have the chance to watch top sports action from the start of August.

No price details in relation to the agreement have yet been confirmed.

Gavin Patterson, Chief Executive of BT Retail, said: "We are delighted to have reached this milestone, which means that we can be certain of offering Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 to our customers before the football season kicks off.

"We know our customers will be keen to sign up for the two channels."

Virgin Media recently confirmed the prices at which they are offering subscribers access to Sky Sports and Sky Movies channels.

Finally we can get Sky Sports for a reasonable price. Although after the weekend, I'm not sure I want to watch football for a very long time.

That's great news. I for one will be subscribing for both channels. My only concern is Sky Sports News. Will that come with the package? Because as we all know, it's going off freeview.
