Google Instant has landed on Android smartphones running Android 2.2 or above and the iPhone, speeding up searches on mobile devices by displaying results as you type.

The ‘live results’ search engine feature, which first landed on desktop devices and lappys back in September, is currently limited to US handsets.
However, given that Google is on record as having some highly ambitious plans as far as mobile internet is concerned, we’re betting it won’t be too long before it hits Europe.
Google’s blog stated: “With Google Instant on mobile, we're pushing the limits of mobile browsers and wireless networks.
"Google Instant for mobile works best on 3G and Wi-Fi networks, but since the quality of any wireless connection can fluctuate, we've made it easy to enable or disable Google Instant without ever leaving the page. Just tap the "Turn on" or "Turn off" link."
The desktop version of Google Instant knocks off around two to five seconds from search times, according to the search giant.
