The Skyfire web browser for Android has been updated to version 3.0 and comes with all-new features, including Facebook Connect integration.
Users who choose to do so can now have a Facebook ‘like’ button displayed on every page they visit, allowing them to quickly share Internet content they come across with friends and the Facebook community. It also smartly integrates the Facebook portal that gives users quick access to their Facebook feed, profile and content shared and most liked by friends and other Facebook users.
Jeff Glueck, CEO of Skyfire, said: "Skyfire 3.0 with Facebook Connect makes mobile browsing social.
"This is just the latest innovation made possible by Skyfire's Rocket Platform and illustrates why Skyfire, as the first browser ever powered by a cloud service, is a must-have for smartphone users."
The update also integrates the Fireplace? Feed Reader to the browser, which gives users quicker access to their favourite news feeds, plus the OneTouch Search feature, which merges multiple search options from Google, Facebook and Twitter into one search box.
Skyfire was recently released for the iPhone and has quickly become one of the top-grossing apps on the App Store due to its Flash-playing capabilities. Although Skyfire was forced to temporarily pull the app after its servers, which it uses to convert Flash videos on-the-fly to HTML5, had come under immense strain.
The Android update is available for download right now from the Android Market.
