A trigger happy LG staffer appears to have accidentally slipped images of the forthcoming Google Nexus 5 into FCC documentation for a different device.
The leak comes just days after the Korean company failed to request FCC confidentiality for its recently filed Nexus 5 documents.
This latest snap was found amongst papers relating to LG’s G2 device, which is being readied for sale on the US’s Verizon network. The phone is labelled as LG DS820, the codename for the Nexus 5.
The pic shows off the phone’s ruggedised back (a much-needed change to the current. slippery backed Nexus 4), as well as a new look camera. The overall look of the phone, however is not too dissimilar to its predecessor.
The battery has been confirmed as a 2300 mAh effort, which suggests this thing won’t keep kicking for long once you’re using it over 4G or watching movies.
Specs-wise, the phone is said to pack a 5-inch display, 7 band 4G LTE and wireless charging smarts.
A launch is expected in early November, around the same time Google revealed the Nexus 4 in 2012.
