Karbonn, one of India’s key mobile manufacturers, has begun selling its devices in the UK for the first time.
Four new phones are up for grabs now via Amazon, including Karbonn's Sparkle V, the first Android One phone available in the UK.
Android One is Google’s budget phone programme, which sees it develop devices in conjunction with manufacturers, ensuring users of cheap phones get Google services and the latest Android software.
The handset costs £130 up front and comes with a 4.5–inch, 854 x 480 display, five megapixel camera, quad–core processor and 1GB of RAM. As part of Black Friday, the phone is being offered for £99 for one day only.
Karbonn is selling a further three devices via Amazon.
The A5s, costing £70 with a 4–inch screen, five megapixel snapper and 512MB of RAM; the A19 for £90, which features a 5–inch, 854 x 480 screen and dual–core processor; and the S6, with a 5–inch, 960 x 540 display, quad–core processor and eight megapixel camera for £120.
That’s everything for now, but Karbonn has said it’ll begin selling its pricier phones here in the UK soon. It looks like the Moto G and Lumia 730 have got some serious new budget competition.
