Netflix has added a boatload of new features to its Android app. These include the Social Recommendation feature, which lets you tell friends what you think they'd like to watch, and Android Wear integration.
Social Recommendation came to the iOS app back in September, so it's taken a while to reach Android.
But Android users haven't been completely left out in the cold, because the Android app has got some special treatment.
Push notifications let you watch, get more info, and thank friends for recommendations, all from the swipe-down menu.
Android Wear integration also lets you get alerts on your smartwatch when you receive a recommendation through Netflix. You can then watch, thank the person, or get more information about the show, all from your wrist-worn smart device.
You can't watch on your smartwatch though. Not yet anyway. But who knows. Maybe smartwatches will go the way of smartphones and all come with six-inch screens in the future.
Netflix recently announced it wanted to make 20 original series in the next five years. With the likes of 'Breaking Bad' and 'Orange is the New Black' under its belt, who can blame it?
