netflix on youview

Netflix is now available through TalkTalk YouView set top boxes, two months after it hit boxes made by BT and Humax.

The streaming service is rolling out to TalkTalk's take on YouView now, with all 1.2 million TalkTalk TV boxes due to have Netflix by the end of January.

It brings with it the hit homegrown shows like 'Orange is the New Black', 'Breaking Bad' and 'House of Cards', along with a ton of other non-Netflix made TV shows and films.

Last week, TalkTalk bolstered its streaming options by buying Blinkbox from troubled supermarket Tesco.

"Netflix is a brilliant new addition to TalkTalk TV," Tristia Harrison, managing director of the consumer division of TalkTalk, said.

"As Britain's fastest growing TV service, we are on a mission to provide the best movies and hit TV shows that our customers can dip in and out of, all at a great price. Netflix complements this perfectly.

"The fact that TalkTalk homes can enjoy such a huge range of must-see content on their TV as well as on other devices is an exciting step forward. We can't wait for them to dive into the movies and series everyone's talking about."

Bill Holmes, global head of business development at Netflix, added: "By partnering with TalkTalk we're making it even easier for many TV fans and movie lovers to watch Netflix on their television screens."
