Netflix will reboot two of the most iconic children's TV shows of the 1980s – 'Danger Mouse' and 'Inspector Gadget'.
'Danger Mouse' features Stephen Fry as the Colonel K, and is tipped to star comedians Alexander Armstrong and Kevin Eldon as Danger Mouse and Penfold respectively.
It promises to feature "all the classic characters, catchphrases and comedy that made it an 80s cult favourite". Look out for it in the spring.
A new 26-episode CGI series of 'Inspector Gadget' will air next month. Dr Claw has reactivated MAD, his global crime syndicate, and it's up to Gadget, his niece Penny and her dog Brian to save the day. Expect him to be as hapless as ever.
Netflix is also debuting another three kids' shows this year. 'Some Assembly Required' sees a fourteen-year-old recruit his pals to help make toys. 'Bottersnikes & Grumbles' is adapted from the books of the same name, and sees the Grumbles trying to avoid their grumpy neighbours, the Bottersnikes.
Finally, 'Super 4' is a CGI series inspired by Playmobil, and will be exclusive in the US to Netflix.
