'Extant' series two is coming to Amazon Prime Instant Video. The streaming service has signed an exclusive deal with US broadcaster CBS to be the home of the series in the UK.

The second series will start on July 2nd, just hours after it airs in the US.

Halle Berry will reprise her role as Molly Woods, an astronaut who returns from spending 13 months in space on her own to discover she's pregnant. How did that happen? You'll have to tune in to find out.

The second series sees Molly realise that she has put the entire human race in jeopardy and that JD Richter (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) might be civilisation's only hope.

"Last summer, 'Extant' broke records on Amazon Prime Instant Video, quickly becoming the most watched premiere in our history," Jay Marine, vice president of Amazon Prime Instant Video Europe, said.

"We're delighted to be able to bring the next instalment of the star-studded suspense thriller exclusively to Prime members in the UK."
