Winter is coming... again. HBO has confirmed that 'Game of Thrones' series six will start in April next year. And the big news is that Jon Snow is still alive.
The show's official Twitter feed posted a photo of actor Kit Harrington in character as Snow, head bowed, nose bloodied.
"April" the caption reads. The image was accompanied by the hashtags #GoTSeason6 and #GameOfThrones, just to clear up any doubt.
This will come as welcome news to anyone expecting the series to start in May, and will be even more welcome to anyone who thought Snow had kicked the bucket. He was last seen lying motionless after being stabbed by his own Night Watch comrades for supposedly being a traitor.
So did and he die and has since been brought back to life? Or did he merely feign death to trick his attackers? Hopefully all will be revealed come April.
There's no concrete to-air date yet from HBO, but expect Sky to follow hot on its heels and show each episode very soon after. Who knows, it might even simulcast the first episode, as with previous series.
