Amazon is making another film. 'Paterson' is written and directed by Jim Jarmusch ('Ghost Dog', 'Coffee and Cigarettes') and stars Adam Driver ('Girls') in the title role.
It will be available to stream this year, Amazon has announced.
Paterson is a bus driver who lives in the New Jersey neighbourhood that shares his name. The film promises to follow his daily routine, and explore the poetry he writes based on what he hears around him.
"'Paterson' is a funny, philosophical and moving story that only Jim can tell," said Ted Hope, head of motion picture production and Amazon Studios. "We look forward to working closely with him and supporting his vision in bringing the film to life. Adam Driver is one of this generation's most gifted actors. It'll be exciting to see what he and Jim unearth as they explore the intimate and richly textured world of 'Paterson'."
Jarmusch added: "I'm very happy to be able to make this film, 'Paterson', with the support of Amazon, K5, and Le Pacte, and to have their expertise and creativity in delivering our film to audiences around the world. I'm also very happy to collaborate with a wonderful cast and crew."
'Paterson' follows Amazon Studios' previous feature film 'Chi-Raq', a musical drama satire from Spike Lee.
