Amazon is rebooting comic book spoof 'The Tick', with Peter Serafinowicz playing the title role.

Amazon will make a live-action pilot with Serafinowicz donning the trademark blue suit complete with antennae.

The character was originally created as the mascot for a chain of US comic book stores in the 1980s, and was a spoof of numerous comic book superheroes.

He's known for his battle cry of "Spoon!"

The character has had his own show before. Two of them, in fact. The original was an animated series on Fox, while the second was a live-action series starring Patrick Warburton.

Warburton will executive produce the show, along with the character's creator Ben Edlund.

Serafinowicz seems a great choice for the role. As well as being a versatile actor and comedian, he has lent his vocal talents to characters including Darth Maul from 'Star Wars' and Fisher King in 'Doctor Who'.

He's also well known for impersonating Terry Wogan in a pirate radio style, and dubbing Donald Trump with a variety of voices.
