Netflix might have raised its prices recently, but it is offering subscribers something extra in return – better picture quality.
The only downside is you'll need a very new TV in order to see the benefit.
Netflix is rolling out High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology that gives image quality much more depth, as well as Dolby Vision, which brightens the picture.
However, the HDR mode only works with certain Android 4K Sony TVs that went on sale last year or this year. If you don't have the X85C, S85C, X90C, X93C, SD85, XD85, XD93 or XD94, you're out of luck.
The streaming service has said it has no plans to offer virtual reality content.
In the US, Netflix recently raised prices after its grace period came to an end. This period – known as the "grandfathering" period – allowed previous subscribers to stay at the lower price for a set time. Now the new monthly bill will affect all customers on an HD subscription.
Netflix recently raised the price of its HD package by 50p per month here in the UK.
The streaming service recently announced it had signed the rights to show the new 'Top Gear' internationally. The is significant because the former 'Top Gear' presenters recently left the BBC and joined Netflix's rival Amazon Prime Video to launch their own car show. Though they still haven't thought of a name.
