Sky might have its fancy new Sky Q platform up and running – and soon to get 4K – but it's not leaving Sky+ customers behind. It's just unveiled a new homepage for Sky+, complete with some pretty useful new features.
The first of which is Top Picks. These are editorially selected shows and films that Sky thinks you might like – basically a 'what's new' section that's served up every time you head to the homepage. It covers entertainment shows, films, box sets, kids' favourites and sports.
Download Next automatically cues up the next episode of a series you've started watching. So if you want to stick with it, you won't have to wait for the next episode to be available.
Meanwhile, Continue Watching lets you pick up where you left off in an episode or series from shows including 'The Catch', 'Outcast' and 'Agatha Raisin'.
Other changes include the ability to customise the Sky Guide using the Services Homepage, a Viewing Progress bar in the Planner that shows how much of a recording you've watched, the Radio section is now in the Radio tab in TV Guide, and Search is now at the top of the homepage.
These follow the Download All and Watch Next features, which were added to Sky+ earlier this year. Sky promises to add more features to Sky+ in the future.
