Sky Q mini and Sky Q Silver

4K viewing is coming to Sky Q on August 13th, but before then there are some more new features to get your teeth into.

The service has just added Auto Play, which is very similar to a feature found on Netflix. When you finish watching one episode of a series, the next will start automatically after 30 seconds without you doing anything. Warning: you will find yourself binge-watching more.

Another new feature is Auto Download Next Episode, which does what it says on the tin. (Sky+ recently added the same feature.)

Top Picks brings editorial recommendations to the current on-demand offering.

There's also a new Sports homepage that makes it easier to find sporting action both live and on-demand. Series Record lets you set the whole series to record from the Mini Guide, while it's also easier to skip to a certain place in a recording or download.

Online videos are also PIN protected, so, if you have the Family Friendly setting on, you'll need the code to watch 18+ rated videos.

"Sky Q is the next generation of TV viewing and the new features are about making it even easier for customers to find and watch episode after episode of their favourite TV series, the latest live sport, or the best of the web," said Luke Bradley-Jones, brand director of TV & content products. "So whether you're watching 'Ray Donovan', 'The Tunnel', or the start of the Premier League season, we know customers are going to love the new updates.

"These developments are just the start of the exciting plans we have for Sky Q this year."
