Face it, it's the week when nothing happens. So why not settle down with some great festive telly? We've got a documentary about Lego, a ridiculous Arnie flick and some Premier League football to keep you entertained. Enjoy.

A Big Lego Christmas

4:15pm, Channel 4

the lego movie

This documentary goes behind the scenes of the world's most profitable toymaker as it prepares to open a London superstore before Christmas. There are superfans – including a woman who tries to attend every Lego store opening in the world and a man who's 10-million-strong collection has to be housed in a separate house – and Duncan, Britain's only certified Lego professional who's tasked with building a model of Tower Bridge out of 6 million bricks. Rather him than us.

Kindergarten Cop

6:50pm, ITV 2

This is surely one of Arnie's most quotable films, thanks mostly to the Schwarzenegger soundboard that did the rounds in the early 2000s. The Austrian – once described by Clive James as looking like a condom stuff with walnuts – plays a tough cop who goes undercover in a kindergarten in order to catch a vicious mobster. It's one of Arnie's less successful attempts at comedy, but that itself makes for great viewing. All together now: "Who is your daddy and what does he do?"

Southampton vs Tottenham Hotspur

7:45pm, Sky Sports 1

southampton fc

Most of us may be off work, but our Premiership footballers are still hard at it. (And so they should be, considering how much they earn.) Today's game sees Tottenham travel to Southampton. There are only a few places between the two teams in the league table, so it should be a fiercely fought game. And if you have the Sky Q 2TB box and compatible telly, you can watch it in 4K.
