If you're forever losing the right remote control, you might like the look of Caavo. It's a box you put under your telly that brings together all your TV services into one place.

Using the supplied remote control, you can flick between services and devices like Freeview and your Amazon Fire TV without needing another remote.

You can even search all your services from the same place, and just by using your voice.

It controls up to eight devices at once, making it a true one-stop shop for all your telly-watching needs.

You can even specify which device you'd like to watch a show through. So you can ask it to play 'The Man in the High Castle' through your Amazon Fire TV box, for example, if you prefer it to your smart TV's Amazon Prime Video app.

Alexa – Amazon's voice-activated personal assistant – comes built in, as does support for the 4K picture resolution.

Pre-orders will start in May, with the device expected to ship later this year. And the price? At $300 (£240), it's a little steep. But we guess it depends on how much you value convenience. And how much TV you watch.
