Sky has released more details of its Tough Mudder obstacle race broadcast. The six-part documentary, called 'Mission Mudder', will air on Sky Sports Mix, so will be free to all Sky customers, and will feature six Olympians joining forces against some of the best mudders from around the world.
The team comprises Welsh taekwondo star and double gold medallist Jade Jones, former World and European indoor 400m champion Perri Shakes-Drayton, and World cycling silver medallist Jess Varnish. They will compete alongside snowboarder Aimee Fuller, judoist Ashley McKenzie and boxer Anthony Fowler, all from Team GB.
The team will compete in some of the most gruelling endurance and obstacle courses in the UK and USA.
The show will also include the athletes' personal stories, how they prepare, and the challenges of working together.
"The series is guaranteed to be exciting, emotional and unlike anything you have seen before," Jones said in a statement. "I am looking forward to the mental and physical challenge but also to working with what promises to be such a great team.
'Mission Mudder' is a really exciting project to be a part of and I can't wait for UK fans to follow us on our journey on Sky Sports Mix."
