new now tv box

If you want to watch Sky's channels without shelling out for a lengthy contract, Now TV could be for you. And now it's even cheaper than ever, thanks to a deal from Currys.

The retailer is selling the Now TV Box with a six-month Entertainment pass for just £19.99. That's £20 less than the £39.99 it usually costs.

The standalone Now TV Box usually sells for £15, so you're essentially paying a fiver for six months of Sky's entertainment channels. These include Sky 1, Sky Atlantic and Fox, with offerings like 'Billions', 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' and 'The Simpsons'.

The Entertainment pass usually costs £6.99 a month, so a fiver for six months isn't to be sniffed at.

When the six months is up, you're under no obligation to carry on paying. You can not buy another pass again if you like, and just use the internet-connected box to get BBC iPlayer and YouTube on your TV. Or you can pay for a pass as and when the mood takes you – maybe you want to catch a big sporting event, say, or only want to tune in when the new series of 'Game of Thrones' starts.
