netflix everywhere

PC users running Windows 10 can now watch Netflix without an internet connection. That's because the streaming service has just added offline viewing to its Windows 10 app.

The feature lets you download programmes to watch when you don't have an internet connection. (Though you will need to connect to the internet to download the show/film in the first place.) It will mean anyone with a Windows 10 laptop can download shows and watch on the go.

The feature came to Netflix's Android and iOS mobile apps late last year. This is its first appearance on a desktop platform.

Like its mobile counterparts, there are some limitations. Only some content is available to download - unsurprisingly, this includes Netflix's original films and series.

If you're interested, download the latest version of the Windows 10 Netflix app. The update is out now, though there's no word on when - or if - it will come to other desktop platforms. Surely it's only a matter of time before it does.
