game of thrones series 7 trailer breath

HBO has released a new trailer for the highly-anticipated penultimate series of 'Game of Thrones'.

Subtitled 'Long Walk', it flits between Cersei Lannister, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, suggesting we'll see some kind of face-off between the three to see who will eventually rule the Seven Kingdoms.

The choice of music is apt. The trailer is backed by 90's indie tune 'Sit Down' by James (as we'll see who eventually sits down on the throne, you see).

We also see Cersei let out an icy breath. Which suggests that winter, as opposed to be coming as the show's tagline suggests, has finally arrived.

Series seven starts on 16th July on HBO in the US. Sky will simulcast the broadcast in the wee hours of the 17th, and show it again at a more reasonable hour that evening. Good luck avoiding spoilers that day.

The penultimate season will only consist of seven episodes, down from the usual 10. Series eight, which will follow next year, will be similarly truncated.
