Netflix's political thriller 'House of Cards' is coming back at the end of the month, and now we have a new trailer to get our teeth into.

"The American people don't know what's best for them," intones fictional US president Frank Underwood (played with evident glee by Kevin Spacey). "I do."

The series looks to be holding up a mirror to real political goings-on lately, with protestors holding up placards reading "Never Underwood". Which echoes the huge numbers of protestors that greeted the inauguration of president Donald Trump.

Underwood goes on to describe the American people as "like little children... We have to hold their sticky fingers and wipe their filthy mouths."

The trailer contains plenty of action, so expect the tension to be ramped up this series. There's not a whole lot to go on, except that Frank shows no signs of retiring anytime soon. As he proclaims, "Underwood 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028, 2032..."

The new series starts on 30th May. Whether it can come close to the theatrics of real-life American politics, we'll have to wait and see...
