The latest Star Wars film will come exclusively to Netflix in the US next month.

It marks a deal between Disney and the streaming service that gives Netflix exclusive rights to its films in certain territories. Seeing as Disney owns Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm, Netflix shouldn't be short of high-quality flicks to choose from.

This is the first time US viewers will have access to a proper Star Wars film on Netflix (though 'Rogue One' is a spinoff rather than an 'episode' movie). Though US Netflix has hosted episodes of the 'Clone Wars' series before.

It's quite a coup for Netflix. And it shows that while the service has been investing heavily in original content lately, licensing deals with other studios are still crucial to its growth.

In the UK, 'Rogue One' is available to rent or buy through the Sky Store, as well as YouTube and Google Play.
