Apple has been busy detailing what's next for the Apple TV streaming box. But it failed to mention one key feature: namely the fact that the box will automatically work with Apple's AirPods wireless headphones.
That means you can watch something, or play a game, while listening to the audio wirelessly. Not only will this mean you won't annoy everyone else in the room with the audio, you also won't trail a cable on the floor for anyone to trip over.
You pair the headphones as part of the speaker options.
You can already use Bluetooth headphones with Apple TV, but thanks to the automatic set-up feature with AirPods, you won't have to pair them with the streaming box first.
It's classic Apple, making its own products work seamlessly together in the hope that you only buy Apple gear from now on.
There's also a new Home Screen Sync feature that should be useful for anyone with more than one Apple TV. According to Apple, it will "keep your apps and Home screens up to date across any Apple TV that uses this iCloud account".
Plus you'll be able to switch between light and dark modes depending on the time of day.
The next update is called tvOS 11, and brings the Amazon Prime Video app to Apple TV for the first time. Look out for it this autumn.
