the defenders final trailer

Marvel's 'The Defenders' is now available on Netflix. And if you're thinking of subscribing in order to watch, let this trailer tempt you.

It shows plenty of new footage of the team of superheroes in action. And we see some more of sci-fi icon Sigourney Weaver as the villain Alexandra. "If I might give you some advice," she says, "the more connections you have, the easier it will be to break you."

'The Defenders' sees some of Marvel's hottest properties team up to fight evil. These are Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, all of who have had their own standalone Netflix series.

The show stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones and Eka Darville, as well as Weaver.

It should do good business for Netflix, as Marvel shows usually do. However, the gravy train could be coming to an end. Marvel is owned by Disney, who is launching its own streaming service in 2019. Before then, it will pull all of its Disney content from Netflix, and – possibly – all of its Marvel and Lucasfilm content too. Though that hasn't been confirmed yet.
