Sky 1 will exclusively show Marvel's new series 'Inhumans' this autumn.

The series will air on network ABC in the US.

It focuses on the Royal Family, including Black Bolt, the Inhumans' enigmatic, commanding king. His voice is so powerful that a single whisper can destroy an entire city.

Once a military coup splinters the Royal Family, they escape to Hawaii, where they must reunite with one another and return home before their way of life is destroyed forever.

It stars Anson Mount ('Hell on Wheels'), Iwan Rheon ('Game of Thrones') and Serinda Swan ('Graceland').

It's based on the comic strip by Stan Lee.

Dayna Donaldson, general manager media distribution at 'Inhumans' maker Disney UK and Ireland, said: "Marvel storytelling is on a cinematic scale – and 'Inhumans'' production values certainly live up to this. The series has created buzz from right back at its inception, and we're excited to be working with Sky 1 to launch Marvel's 'Inhumans' to its viewers, following its preview on IMAX, a world first in television."
