Netflix is going big on original films, with plans to release 80 of them next year alone. It's just released the second trailer for one of its biggest films of this year – 'Bright', starring Will Smith.

It also announced a release date – 22nd December.

'Bright' stars Smith as a policeman on a version of Earth where humans live alongside orcs, elves and other creatures. Joel Edgerton plays Smith's new partner, the first orc allowed onto the police force.

Netflix reportedly paid $90 million for the exclusive rights to the film. That's a lot of money, though admittedly a drop in the ocean compared to the £7 billion the service is currently investing in original content.

If 'Bright' is a success – as Netflix hopes it will be – the service has expressed an interest in making it into a franchise.

Either way, 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' won't be the only way you'll see Will Smith on Netflix.
