Jeffrey Tambor won't return to the Amazon series 'Transparent' following allegations of sexual harassment.

In a statement, Tambor said that while he felt privileged to take part in the Emmy-winning show, recent events have made clear that it "is no longer the job I signed up for four years ago."

It's the second high-profile departure from Amazon Studios in the last few weeks. Roy Price resigned as head of Amazon Studios recently following similar allegations.

'Transparent' is one of Amazon's biggest success stories. It follows father Mort (Tambor) when he announces he is in fact transgender.

Amazon isn't the only studio rocked by allegations of sexual impropriety. After multiple people accused Kevin Spacey of sexual harassment, Netflix excised him from 'House of Cards'. Now rumours abound that Amazon will go the same route, and try to continue 'Transparent' without Tambor's character.
