Netflix is rebooting the classic makeover series 'Queer Eye' (originally known as 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy'). Here's the first trailer.
According to the voiceover: "The original show was fighting for tolerance. Our fight is for acceptance."
Times may have changed since the show's debut in 2003, but the format remains the same. The Fab Five (a group of gay men) makeover a straight man, giving him a new wardrobe, home interior decor, and general lifestyle tips like what to eat and how to look good.
This time there's a new Fab Five: Bobby Berk is the design guru, Antoni Porowski the food and wine expert, Karamo Brown knows all things cultural, Jonathan Van Ness handles the grooming side of things while Tan France is on fashion duties.
'Queer Eye' always played up to the stereotype of gay men being superior to their straight counterparts in these areas. It'll be interesting to see how it plays in modern times.
All episodes will be available on Netflix on 7th February.
