Aggretsuko is a beer-swilling, heavy-metal-loving red panda who hates her office job. And now she's getting her own Netflix series.

As unlikely as it sounds, Aggretsuko is made by Sanrio, the company behind the cutesy-poo 'Hello Kitty' phenomenon.

The series will follow the stressed office worker as she screams, indulges in heavy metal karaoke and ponders her future.

We're promised drama, existential crises, and plenty of anthropomorphised animals behaving like annoying co-workers. All in a day's work.

The series debuts on 20th April.

Netflix is pumping $8 billion into original content this year. As well as new series like 'Altered Carbon', the streaming service will release 80 new films this year, among them sci-fi mystery 'Mute'.
