Sky is bringing back Sky Cinema Oscars, its pop-up channel celebrating the film awards ceremony. As well as exclusively showing the 90th Academy Awards live, it will air a number of classic Oscar-winning films, including 'The Godfather' and 'No Country For Old Men'.
The channel runs from 26th February until 11th March.
The 90th Academy Awards takes place on Sunday 4th March. Coverage starts at midnight with 'Oscars 2018: Red Carpet Live'. Coverage of the ceremony itself starts at 1:30am on Monday 5th of March.
Alex Zane will return as anchor. He will be joined on the night by a phalanx of guests analysing the night's goings on.
The ceremony will be repeated in full at 8am, with highlights at 8pm.
Sky Cinema Oscars will show all kinds of Oscar-winning films too, including the first ever Best Picture winner 'Wings' (from 1927). It will also show a 60-minute special called 'The Oscars: Greatest Shocks, Frocks and Fairytales'.
"The Oscars ceremony is a memorable occasion every year, from the excitement and glamour of the red carpet to seeing who the big winners are on the night," Zane said in a statement. "This year will be no different, and as the Oscars turn 90, we'll be there every step of the way to cover everything from the most important night in the film calendar."
