Amazon has greenlit a second series of podcast-inspired TV series 'Lore'. The show is based on Aaron Mahnke's horror anthology podcast of the same name.

There is one major change from series one: a new showrunner. Writer-producer Glen Morgan ('The X-Files', 'Millennium') will be replaced by Sean Crouch ('Numbers', 'Helix').

The format will remain the same, however, with one-off stories comprising the anthology series. This series will consist of episodes based on existing podcast instalments as well as new purpose-written stories.

The 'Lore' podcast launched in 2015. As well as the TV series, it's since been turned into an immersive experience and a series of books telling various tales from the show.

There's no word on when the next TV series will air, though shooting will start next month, so expect it around autumn/winter. Perfect for those long, dark nights.
