The pair of actors from the Emmy Award-winning series 'Key and Peele' are making a film for Netflix.
Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key are better known as Key and Peele from the Comedy Central series of the same name. (Peele also won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his film 'Get Out' recently.) Their new Netflix film 'Wendell and Wild' will be a stop-motion animation about two demon brothers, voiced by the duo. It will be directed by Henry Selick, whose previous credits include 'Coraline' and 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'.
'Wendell and Wild' is Netflix's second stop-motion animation. Its first was 'Bubbles', about Michael Jackson's pet monkey.
Selick and Peele will team up with writer Clay McLeod Chapman for the script. Selick and Chapman will also work on an adaptation, which will be published by Simon & Schuster.
The film – and possibly adaptation – will have a pop art feel, thanks to characters devised by Argentinian artist Pablo Lobato.
