Benedict Cumberbatch's new TV series now has a broadcast date: 13th May at 9pm. 'Patrick Melrose' will air on Sky Atlantic and Now TV.

Cumberbatch plays the titular character as he journeys from childhood, through drug addiction and ultimately redemption in a harrowing yet hilarious tale. It's based on the semi-autobiographical novels of Edward St Aubyn.

Written by David Nicholls ('One Day'), it spans the South of France in the 60s, New York in the 80s and Britain in the early 2000s.

The all-star cast includes Hugo Weaving (The Matrix trilogy), Jennifer Jason Leigh ('The Hateful Eight'), Anna Madeley ('The Crown'), Blythe Danner ('Meet the Fockers'), Allison Williams ('Girls') and Pip Torrens ('The Crown').
