Amazon has revealed it has a new Fire TV in the works. It\'s called the Amazon Fire TV Cube, and you can sign up now to receive updates about it.

The page is here. It doesn\'t give any details on the device, apart from the name.

Last year, a boxy Amazon device leaked that could well be the Fire TV Cube in question. It was said to be a hybrid between the Fire TV and Amazon Echo smart speaker, fully equipped with Alexa support for hands-free vocal commands.

Unlike current Fire TV devices, you won\'t need to use the voice remote or separate Echo speaker to use voice commands. With the Fire TV Cube, you can just ask and Alexa will asnwer, even if the TV is switched off.

It can handle 4K HDR video as well.

Amazon doesn\'t usually update its Fire TV devices until the autumn, so we might have a bit of a wait. Though who knows, this year could be different.
