a league of their own 13

Sky has announced the guest line-up for the next series of A League of Their Own, and it includes Olympic gold medallists, boxers, footballers… and Geri Horner.

The ex-Spice Girl will join former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, fellow boxer Tony Bellew, footballers John Terry, Ashley Cole and Jack Wilshere, comedian Rob Beckett and Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah.

The show will again be hosted by James Corden, with returning regulars Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp. But comedian Romesh Ranganathan will take the place of Jack Whitehall for this series.

“A League of Their Own has been a lot of fun, is something I’m contractually obliged to say despite the physical challenges, which I would describe as some of the toughest experiences I have ever been through,” Ranganathan said in a statement. “The guest list, however, has been phenomenal with David Walliams, Helen Skelton and Wladimir Klitschko, who was amazing.

“This series also saw the return of one of my favourite people in the world and ALOTO Hall of Famer Tony Bellew – who was as incredible as we all hoped he would be.”

The new series starts on 30th August on Sky One and Now TV.
