This week saw the appearance of neat little app called Nearest Tube. It does exactly what it says on the tin: uses location info, the handset’s camera and compass to give you augmented reality directions to the site of your nearest underground station. Alas, it’s not available to buy yet, but ought to be approved this week.
In other iPhone news - and possibly even more of a boon as far as taking the hassle out of your day to day life goes – word reaches us of an app from Waitrose. Ocado On The Go, which is free to download, lets you scribe your shopping lists while offline and then pay up when a connection is available. Genius.
